Duo Confluence

The perfect harmony between saxophone and guitar

A Unique Musical Dialogue

We started playing together during our studies at the B. Marcello Conservatory of Music in Venice, Italy, and in early 2022, we officially founded Duo Confluence. Believing from the start that our unusual collaboration could work, we managed to convince the sceptical audience by creating a balance between the saxophone and the guitar, two instruments rarely seen together.

We established ourselves in France after continuing our training with the Master's in chamber music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse (CNSMD) in Lyon.

After a few concerts in the Venetian territory, we won the first prize at the chamber music competition "Città di Belluno" in May 2022. We participated in the summer concerts "Il Marcello Suona" in Venice and had the pleasure of collaborating with the association "Musica Con le Ali" and the "Teatro La Fenice". In April 2023, we received the first prize at the international competition "Giovani Musicisti - Città di Treviso" and the "contemporary prize" at the CIMCA in Arnuero, Spain.

Among our recent activities, we were fortunate to participate in 2023/2024 in the first edition of Residenze Erranti in Italy, an artistic project organised by the Barco Teatro in Padova and the Festival Corde d'Autunno in Milan, with guitarists Marco Ramelli, Giacomo Susani and Enrica Savigni. From 2024 to 2026 we participated in chamber music masterclasses with Federica Repini.

COMPETITIONS: Udine

Concert at the Barco Teatro (what was it called?) and at the Festival Corde d'Autunno, followed by a concert in Dublin, Ireland for the Italian Cultural Centre of Dublin. The concerts with the L. Bon foundation and finally the concert at the Les Heures Musicales festival at the Abbey of Lessay in Normandy.

Elegance and Exploration

Guitar and saxophone in classical music?

It doesn't exist!

And yet, here we are.

Baroque, classicism, romanticism, contemporary, songs, improvisation . . .

Always in search of quality and emotions
